About Flying Eye and DJ - AG

Andy Goldfinger (DJ - AG) has a long musical history on and off the air (35+ years). As founder of the Flying Eye Radio Network he has been fortunate to interview the likes of Graham Nash, Mike Campbell, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) Albert Lee, Steve Lukather, Joe Bonamassa, Ozomatli, Paul Barrere (Little Feat) and David Lindley just to name a few. AG also spent many years at KCSN FM in Los Angeles. In addition to hosting the critically acclaimed Valley Rock Shift Andy split time producing and promoting concerts throughout the city of Los Angeles, providing venues for a wide variety of bands and musicians. Listen to some interviews

Started in 1983, Flying Eye was one of the première promoters of local musical talent during the 1980's and early 1990's.  Events were held at all major venues throughout the Los Angeles area including, the Troubadour, Reseda Country Club, Stage West, Madame Wong's West, Griffith Park, The "World Famous" Palomino, Gazzarri's (Now Key Club), the Central (now Viper Room), and the Topanga Community House among them. Every facet of event production and promotions were handled by Flying Eye including artist booking, venue location, advertising, security, sound, concessions, payroll, ticket production, and sales. Through the years web development and marketing skills cemented during those years has rounded the company into a diverse and knowledgeable entity which today can contribute tremendous expertise to other companies that will result in added revenue unimagined previously.

AG has been involved with several charities through the years, producing shows for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association, and yearly participation in Pedal on the Pier which raises money for inner city kids in South Los Angeles. The AG has emceed the Merry Minstrel Circus and Holiday Gathering at the Troubadour in Hollywood three of tthe four years the event was held. Proceeds from this show provide funds for LA high school music programs.

Now as program Director at KOCF in Veneta, Oregon AG does a tremendous amount of community work with the likes of the Habitat for Humanity, Fern Ridge Warm Shelter, Oregon Country Fair and the Fern Ridge Chamber of Commerce to name a few. In addition to providing guidance to the Elmira High radio program (Falcon Radio) AG still hosts the critically acclaimed Music Gumbo Mondays and Fridays at 6pm Pacific Time.

They say Gumbo crosses all cultural barriers, with ingredients that vary from one cook to the next, well take out the food and swap it with music, and you got yourself Music Gumbo, hosted by Andy Goldfinger.  You might hear Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Herbie Hancock, Tupac or Bach.  It’s all the colors of the rainbow.  Each show is a veritable potpourri of musical comestibles
